The Assessment Process

Our ADHD/ADD evaluation begins with a clinical interview, an extensive information gathering session including parent/teacher rating scales. Subsequent components include an ADHD/ADD focused physical examination (including hearing and vision screening, and lab work when appropriate), full scale IQ and achievement testing, and the M-MAT continuous performance test which objectively measures the core symptoms of inattention, impulsivity and hyperactivity.

At the end of this multi-phase evaluation process, parents and caregivers will meet with the professionals involved to review the findings and discuss treatment recommendations. A complete written report is provided at this time. We believe this team centered approach is the optimal, most thorough and accurate way to diagnose Attention and/or Hyperactivity Disorders.
